We’ve just released a three part Estate Planning program, courtesy of The Legal Hub.
Below is an overview of the program, which awaits confirmation on CPD accreditation.
We asked Brant Dillon, Director at The Legal Hub a few questions about the program and the services of The Legal Hub.
Could you start by telling us about your background and what led you to start The Legal Hub?
- Brant: Thanks Marc, and it all started over 20 years ago and you where there! I’ve worked in both legal and financial services and passionately believe estate planning is a critical component of a comprehensive financial plan and not just for the wealthy.
What makes The Legal Hub unique, and how does it work for advisers?
- Brant: The Legal Hub is the leading adviser facilitated estate planning platform and commenced in 2014 and has helped thousands of Australians get a quality estate plan in place through their trusted adviser. We are unique in that our platform allows advisers to connect and coordinate their client’s estate and business succession planning with leading lawyers at wholesale legal fees which in turn allows the adviser to charge for the role and value they provide.
With a growing trend towards online platforms, how does The Legal Hub ensure a comprehensive approach to estate planning?
- Brant: Our 5-step process which advisers’ access through our secured website allows the adviser to submit and upload information on their clients so that our member law firms can provide a complimentary scope and quote. This allows the adviser and client to make an informed decision and if they proceed, the process provides an end-to-end solution from draft documents to online advice meeting and storage of final executed documents. How can advisers utilise your services for better client engagement?
- Brant: We have a range of tools and training available to help advisers engage their clients from short, animated video’s, technical guides, and comprehensive online training. We also provide our complimentary legal concierge service which provides support to advisers and their clients throughout the process.
Finally, we’re hosting some exciting courseware and support materials from The Legal Hub. Could you tell us more about the Estate Planning Essentials Program?
- Brant: Sure, based on feedback several years ago we put together with our member law firms a 3-part program for new and experienced advisers with all the essential knowledge required. For ease of use it includes 3 x 90-minute webinar recordings that can be watched on demand and 3 technical papers which are a valuable technical resource for the practice.
